To all you scholars and intellectuals:
My above use of Latin and Greek are mere attempts (by me) at making a phrase of my own by looking up the individual words in an English to Latin and English to Greek dictionary. I simply transposed the words and mixed both Latin and Greek to come up with ‘Vetulus Pectoris, Ploutizo Pneuma Societas’! Vetulus is Latin for poor, Pectoris is Latin for soul (or actually for chest, from which our soul/heart stems), Ploutizo is Greek for rich or to enrich, Pneuma is Greek for spirit and Societas is Latin for society. Poor Souls Society is a group that I’ve created for anyone who feels burdened by life’s mishaps, misunderstood and/or confused by others and just plain down and out. That explains the ‘Poor Souls’ part! Being rich in spirit or having an enriched spirit is either what you literally already have and/or already are, or is where you can be by participating in and joining this club. Sometimes we get so caught up in life’s day to day issues and problems that we fail to see the richness of spirit that lies within us or is just inside of our reach! Through spirituality, the arts, entertainment and having critical dialogues or healthy debates (either formal or informal) about current events we can awaken our inner awareness and raise our levels of consciousness, so that we can have a better go at life. Having a ‘Rich Spirit’ is about being willing to be open and grow through choosing to challenge how we think and feel about various issues, experiences and events in life! In this Blog I would like to introduce different articles (both written by me and others), books, subjects, movies, music, art and headline topics from as many different backgrounds, cultures, religions and perspectives as possible. My reason for doing this is to help us find some commonality of spirit and out of that to enlighten and uplift ourselves as human beings. We will not agree on everything, however the more we engage each other the more opportunity there will be for us to gain strength on the issues and subjects we do agree.
